Uche Sparks Straightforward Crystal Palace Triumph at Shelbourne.
Even though entering their first-ever continental adventure, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a comfortable win that all but secures them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further victory in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS should be enough to secure straight entry to the last 16, particularly after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Opportunity
This occasion provided a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a clinical finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, finding the net for the second game in match.
A Shelbourne side that had finished their league season proved outmatched against a mostly second-string Palace outfit. The Londoners were already weakened by the news that Mateta and Muñoz are out with knee problems.

Pino Wraps Up the Contest
The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some weak challenges before calmly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
