In a unexpected collaboration that defies conventional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Disclosed

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine group.

The questline focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
